Do they really last 50,000 hours or even 100,000 hours? I guess it depends on the LED quality, operating environment, system design, and other factors. I know for a fact that one of Light-Emitting Diodes main selling points is their potentially very long life.
Compared to other traditional light sources, LEDs don’t just ‘burn out”. They just get dimmer over the course of time. I’ll throw in some numbers and comparison on my next post.
